The Report Composer Bulk Code Generation capability is available as an add-on utility to both Report Composer development workstations and the Repository Manager. This new capability facilitates the generation of multiple Reporting or File Handling External Action Blocks (EAB's) in a single pass without having to open each report or file handler definition individually and going through the process of individual code generation.  As a result, CA GEN developers will save time and effort when having to perform generation of multiple EAB's.

The Bulk Code generation option will present a list of all of the EABs currently in a given  repository. The CA Gen developer can select one, many or all of the EABs in the list. The only restriction is that all of the EABs that are generated in the single pass must share the same generation options. This includes such options as the target language and location and the format (Text, HTML, PDF) 

When installed, the Bulk Code generator can be launch from not only the Report Composer workstation toolset but also the Repository Manager. That way the bulk generation of all of the EABs associate with the implementation of the release of an application can be performed without having to check out the EABs from a shared repository.
